In this Test Tuesday we are testing rubberizing spray. I am using Rust-Oleum LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating in clear. I applied a strip of masking tape to the top of all the samples to allow for comparison.
Read-Board Samples
Readi-Board sample with paper removed.
Adams Premium Samples
Adams Premium sample with paper removed. Some paper still remains at the bottom.
The standard Readi-Board, Adams Premium and Readi-Grid samples performed similarly. Looking at the surface of the samples (expect for the blue Readi-Board sample) it appears that the spray had no adverse effect. However, peeling back the paper showed that the coating did damage the foam beneath. The Readi-Board samples were the most effected. I also noted that the rubber coating made peeling off the paper easier.
No Paper sample
Readi-Erase, Readi Water Resistant and Readi-Grid samples.
The No Paper sample gives a better impression of how the spray damages to foam. The foam beneath the facers of the Read-Erase and Readi Water Resistant samples was not damaged.
